1. Flour milling: Mix zirconia, ceria, lanthanum powder, and alumina powder in a certain proportion, and then ball mill to obtain composite powder.

2. Slurry preparation: Mix the composite powder with deionized water, stir evenly, and make a slurry.

3. Carrier pretreatment: Pre treat hollow cylindrical carriers, such as cleaning, drying, etc.
 
4. Coating: Place the pre treated carrier outside the column and immerse it into the slurry through the column to fully load the slurry onto the carrier.

5. Slurry throwing: Remove the carrier loaded with slurry from the slurry, spin the excess slurry out of the carrier pores by rotating the column, and recover the thrown slurry
.
6. Immersion: Immerse the carrier in a palladium chloride ammonia solution to load palladium ions onto the carrier
.
7. Drying: Dry the impregnated carrier to remove moisture
.
8. Roasting: The dried carrier is subjected to high-temperature roasting to firmly bond the active components of the catalyst with the carrier
.
9. Cooling: Cool the calcined catalyst to obtain the finished product.

 

The three-way catalyst (TWC) is made of cordierite honeycomb ceramics as a carrier, rare earth composite oxides as additives, and a small number of precious metals (PD/PD/RH) added and sintered after a special coating process. The product makes full use of the coordinated effects of precious metals and rare earth composite oxides. The carbon monoxide CO, hydrocarbons HC, and nitrogen oxides NOX in the exhaust gas undergo oxidation/reduction, thereby converting them into non-toxic carbon dioxide, water and nitrogen.

Working Principle
A three-way catalyst can cut CO, HC and NOx by over 99% if the air to fuel ratio is accurately controlled. Three-way catalysts will only give full conversion of each of these three pollutants in a gas stream containing a stoichiometric ratio of CO and NOx.
