The working principle of the three-way catalyst for enhancing gas activity is that when high-temperature automobile exhaust passes through the purification device, the purifying agent in the three-way catalyst will enhance the activity of CO, HC, and NOx gases, promoting them to undergo certain oxidation-reduction chemical reactions. Among them, CO is oxidized to colorless and non-toxic carbon dioxide gas at high temperature; HC compounds oxidize into water (H2O) and carbon dioxide at high temperatures; NOx is reduced to nitrogen and oxygen. Three harmful gases are transformed into harmless gases, enabling the purification of automobile exhaust. The catalytic spray carrier ternary catalytic reactor is similar to a muffler. Its exterior is made of double-layer stainless steel sheet in a cylindrical shape. Insulation material - asbestos fiber felt - is installed in the double-layer thin plate interlayer. Inside, there is a purifying agent installed in the middle of the mesh partition. The purifying agent consists of a carrier and a catalyst. The carrier is generally made of aluminum oxide, and its shapes include spherical, polygonal, and mesh partitions. Purifying agents actually have a catalytic effect, also known as catalysts. The catalysts used are platinum, rhodium, and palladium metals. Spraying one of them onto a carrier constitutes a purifying agent.
